Hi guys,
here's the first post about our short film project.
This is going to evolve in lots of different ways in the coming weeks,
one way or another, we're going to have the end result of a shirt video
which hopefully, we can share on social media and perhaps even enter
in some short film competitions... This is the first time that any of us
have ever done something like this, so hopefully, this will grow into
something that we can build on with perhaps an even better film in
the second half of the year.
The initial thoughts were to make characters for some kind of animation,
perhaps utilising other areas of the MISH program such as multi media
and maybe music. However if this is too logistically heavy right now, I
believe we can turn it into a film using animated puppets.
The 8 or 9 weeks we have at the beginning of the year will be broken up into
1) character development,
2) puppet building,
3) plot storming/script writing
4) Backdrop design/construction
5) filming
6) audio recording
7) digital production
This is very ambitious, but I believe we have a good chance of pulling this off before the
end of first semester. (if it ends up taking longer, we'll cross that bridge then).
Now, let's meet our initial cast:
"Barry and Bert": Aliens trying to blend in, they like to eat furniture...

"Lukie and Fred": Like playing poker, like to eat chips...
"Floppy": Loves flying, Blending in, insects, being creative and colours.
"Ruffhead": Likes to swim and hang out with friends and likes to catch fish. Favourite food: Rice and chocolate, favourite colour is blue.
"Earnest Watts and Bethel Wood": Adventurers of the highest peaks.
Bethel found Earnest after following his trail of golden blossoms when they just so happened to climb the same mountain.
They met half way climbed the rest together and have been climbing ever since.
His favourite food is porridge because it's good hiking food.
Her favourite food is wine, but that's not such great hiking food.
They also like it when birds rest on their heads, it happens a lot,
which is good.
"Paul". His hobbies are chasing moths and listening to fish.
His favourite foods are cheese and eggs.
He lives inside a giant couch and he avoids fruit.
