projects up 'till now that we have explored:

list of art things:

-using plastic farm animals as inspiration, divide paper into thirds. draw the font half of one animal, the middle of another and the back half of another animal pass the picture each time a section is done so that the creature is drawn by 3 different people…  eg, everyone has ONE animal only and draws their animal onto the different sections of other people’s animals.
Discussion about the animals ought follow.
(ink drawing/crayon or pastel colour)
(as seen in Mish ‘zine #1)

-leaf rubbings (previously cut out in the shape of hands) and then attached on top of other rubbings…  (crayon or pastel)

-collage depicting a place you would like to go
discussion about why this place is so good.
magazines

-simple projection drawing using pastels on cardboard/canvas/undercoated board of an agreed image

-projection drawing/painting using inspiration from other artists (eg klimt)

-contour/blind contour drawings of each other (working in pairs)

-collage (non subjective/abstract) looking for colour and texture
(magazines)

-snakes and ladders:  rollers and acrylic paint to make the gridded squares on cardboard.  Stuck on snakes and ladders (also painted)

-the fingers pattern:  around the outside of large piece of white card/surface trace everybody’s hands.  Then, draw a line from each finger to every other finger.  (oil pastel)

-Heroes and villans:  collage character invention: using magazines construct heroes and villains
discussion:  re:what are the superpowers/intentions of each?

-Pizza:  Prepare LARGE pizza base (acrylic on cardboard/surface) divide pizza up into slices and everyone draws/paints their ultimate pizza flavours (might be abstract)

-Pom pom session.  Make pom poms!

- 3 piece people: Paper divided into thirds,  like the 3-piece-animals from earlier, create the head, body and lower section of characters/people/robots  passing to next person for each section.

-Zentangle:  random lines across large surface filled in with small intricate patterns

-felt art: create a character/scene

-profile drawing:  Using projector to draw profile, each person then fills image with things about themselves.

-thumbprint art:  turn thumbprints (ink/paint) into creatures/plants etc.

Puppet show:
-design puppets using collage bodies/drawn heads etc. onto sticks
-design background(s) (large prepared surfaces  done in sections all joined together.  (eg houses = town/ trees=forest)

-3 dimensional geographic shapes (to be hung?) ((Large egg carton squares or other found matching panels)) -paint flat surfaces then construct cubes etc using hot-melt glue

ALSO:
-gridding sessions:

-using oil paint crayons, grid up a canvas/surface then with fingers smudge

-on canvas or surface measure and prepare inch grid, with crayons/pastels draw squares of any size, come back and colour squares with watercolour.
